This 144 apartment assisted living facility is located near the downtown center of Great Neck, Long Island, NY. The project uses the entire zoning envelope while keeping grade level available for the “parking starved” citizens of Great Neck, New York. The use of a raised piano nobile for the residents provides a secure and comfortable deck to view town activity.
The building harmonizes with 1930’s construction of Great Neck by using brick and stucco. A tight site plan was handled by a compact plan that affords all units with good views. The project was embraced by the community and was filled to capacity in less than five months.
